FAQ's - Frequently asked questions

 

What is a Patron?

Chipperfield Theatre Group like so many other Amateur Groups performs plays and Shows as a hobby for it's Members. We don't get paid!

In fact most Members actually PAY for the privilege of entertaining the public.

Yes we DO charge you to get into the Village Hall and then try and sell you raffle tickets and drinks and programmes - and only in this way can we fund the Hire of the Hall Lighting Sounds Costumes performance Rights etc. plus the day-to-day costs of running a Society like ours.

What we DO like is 'bums on seats' and our Patron Scheme benefits us by giving us money in the bank when we need it - BEFORE we sell tickets.

 

How much does it cost?

Well it costs just £10 per year per Patron so joint Membership would cost £20 and so on. That's only a couple of pounds more than the price of a ticket to see one of our Shows.

 

What do they get for that?

  • Each Patron receives a 'Ticket Voucher' entitling them to a free ticket to one of our Performances. We do  2 Shows a Year. Although we vary the format is usually a play or Musical in June or July and a Pantomime or 'Family Show' each January. Joint Members would obviously receive 2 vouchers etc.

  • Each Patron has their name listed in our January Programme and on this Web Site as recognition of our gratitude.

  • Patrons receive PRIORITY booking rights over both the general public AND even our own 'active' Members for EVERY Show. You will receive a Priority Booking Form BEFORE the Box Office opens.

  • Patrons will be invited to our AGM and informed of any Social events we may hold.
